We understand that not everyone has the
same requirements, desires or budget. That enjoyment is
often gained by planning and executing the pheasant hunt
by yourself with your friends and the dogs that you
trained. For that reason we offer the OWLL as an
alternative to a fully guided pheasant hunt.
The OWLL is located on its 40 acre paradise and within
30 miles of over 20,000 acres of several state game
production areas and public walk in locations. A full
kitchen, 4 lounge areas, a game cleaning facility, 3
bathrooms and 5 bedrooms.
Hunting license will need to be
purchased. http://www.sdgfp.info/licenses.htm

SEASON: The normal hunting
season starts on the third Saturday of October and runs
through the first weekend of January.
LODGING: Our hunting
lodge facility (2008) has been built with the
common pheasant hunter in mind. We call it the
OWLL due to it’s location adjacent to one of
South Dakota’s most beautiful state parks
“Oakwood Lakes State Park”. All hunts
originate and end in this facility. We sign in
the hunters, load their gear into their
vehicles all inside a climate controlled
building, and send them off to some of South
Dakota's best state game production and public
walk-in hunting locations.
The most important benefit to our pheasant
hunters is the use of the OWLL shop area. After
a great day of hunting, you can pull into the
facility and a watering hole/lounge/jacuzzi
awaits the you.
One hundred feet out front of
the OWLL is our “Game Processing & Cleaning
Facility" where you will find all the
processing tools and products to clean your birds
in no time flat.

The OWLL is a very comfortable
place to take a break and enjoy some of South
Dakota’s slow paced living. Everyone has found
the lodge to be a very relaxing place to catch their
breath at the end of the day. Satellite TV, pool
table, foose ball, bags, darts, cards, cribbage
board, poker table, horse shoes, jacuzzi tub, BBQ
grill, fireplace, four season room, and a
front deck frequented every morning by deer are a
few of the things you will enjoy.
